Unprotected sex ?

i had unprotected sex & two weeks later i got tested..all of my results for std's came back negative & i don't have any symptoms. does this mean that i most likely do not have hiv ? i heard that u have to have sex with the person who has hiv more then once in order to get it because its not that easy to get. how true is this ?

You need to be re-tested after 6 months as well

you could still get it or have it. once checked you need to check again in 6 months.. it can lay dormant for a time and up to years. and dont have unprotected sex again.

2 weeks is generally too soon. You usually have to wait six months to a year.

I'm pretty sure there's no "second time" rule to getting HIV. It is more likely when having unprotected anal sex because rectal tissue tears more easily than vaginal tissue. But it is most definitely possible either way.

between two weeks and two months is the period of which you will test positive for HIV. very rarely does it take longer than two months (5%). And in a few rare cases has it taken 6 months or maybe longer.

if you are still worried about it, test again in two months. I know it is terrible to wait, but you may want to just put your mind at rest.at two months. I am sure you're fine.
