Why a white fugi on the top of my tongue? |
After a frequent use of per oxide for mouth cleaning a white fungi developed on the top of my tongue. I went to the clinic for laboratory diagnosis and they told me that it is fungi but not the symptom of HIV as I am HIV negative. I took different types of fungal treatments but unable to get rid of the fungus. What is the remedy for it? Garlic has antibiotic-like qualities. You might try somehow applying garlic (possibly crushed) and just holding it in place over that spot for a while. Repeat throughout the day. Fungal infections are not necessarily indicative of an HIV infection, more a result of it. Sounds like thrush (Candida albicans), a fungal infection in the mouth. The peroxide may have killed bacteria in your mouth that kept the fungus at bay for so long. Perhaps, you should cut down your peroxide use to weekly instead of daily. That is, of course, once you've cleared up the infection. Good Luck. |
