HIV question??

For example:: A man is exposed to this virus for 4 years, he does not know that he is infected with it so he is not still taking medications...What are the probable symptoms that he might encounter????

The clinical course of HIV infection follows fairly predictable stages:

鈾?An early or acute stage occurs several weeks after HIV exposure. Flu like symptoms may develop and last a few weeks. Antibodies to HIV (seroconversion) generally appear within a few months, but delays of more than a year have been reported occasionally.
鈾?A middle or asymptomatic period of minor or no clinical problems follows. This period is characterized by continuous low-level viral replication and CD4 cell loss.
鈾?A transitional period of symptomatic disease follows.
鈾?A late or crisis period of symptomatic disease follows, which consists of opportunistic infections lasting months or years.

During stages 1 and 2, the infected person is said to be HIV positive. During stages 3 and 4, the immune system no longer offers adequate protection, and opportunistic diseases occur. The person is then said to have AIDS, regardless of the CD4 count.

I hope this is helpful to you, however I would like to know what medication it is that you haven't been taking.

The following is the fisrt paragraph of an article I read.

Many people do not develop any symptoms when they first become infected with HIV. Some people, however, get a flu-like illness within three to six weeks after exposure to the virus. This illness, called Acute HIV Syndrome, may include fever, headache, tiredness, nausea, diarrhoea and enlarged lymph nodes (organs of the immune system that can be felt in the neck, armpits and groin). These symptoms usually disappear within a week to a month and are often mistaken for another viral infection

He might never encounter any symptoms, and even if he does, the symptoms may have nothing to do with HIV. It has yet to be conclusively proven that HIV causes AIDS.

Serious sickness. Based on they way you speak you sound educated enough to know what HIV stands for. It stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, which means it attacks the immune system, making your body very weak and the vulnerable to any sickness which can kill you very quickly.
