Gastrointestinal Symptoms?

For the past month ive had digestive symptoms, 5 years ago i was diagnosed with GERD, i had this same symptoms then but they went away and i only had the heart burn at nights. the first symptoms came back like 24 days ago, these symptoms are as follows

Upper Abdominal pain
burping
hicups
back pain goes from the mid to upper section
heartburn

ive had and upper GI done 5 yrs ago and they found nothining
ive had 2 ekg's heart is good, 2 ultrasounds nothing wrong with gallbladder,blood(liver,thyoid,panceas,k... everything) work all negative, HIV negative, no blood in stool, no blood in urine, i also had a urinalysys all good

my first doc said it was gerd so did my second doctor, can all these symptoms be just simply Acid Reflux?

im scheduled for an endoscopy this fri and colonoscopy next the following friday. oh also 5 yrs ago i had stress and anxiety problems recently i did also. hmmm dont know whats goin on, any gastro specialist please respond

I also had a HIDA scan done a week ago, im waiting for results

As a nurse, it sounds like you are in the right track to finding out what is going on. It could just be GERD, but it is wise to rule out other GI problems (such as ulcer or pancreatitis). Are you on medicationfor GERD? It is annoying to take meds everyday, but this may be what is in your future if you have diagnosis of bad GERD. You sometimes have to stay on the meds everyday for them to work and give you relief.
