How soon can one detect the symptom of HIV,pls tell me?

About three weeks after exposure there could be some presistent cold, night sweats, east infection that wouldnt go away, slight but consistent fever, swolen glands especially those on the neck, long term diarea, fatigue, weight loss, loss of apetite.

This could go on for about a month, two the most. After this is gone, there might be nothing for years and usually people stay healthy for a few years after becoming hiv poz. The few weeks after exposure symptoms show because that is when the viral load of the hiv virus in the blood is the highest. It is also considered that the person is very contagious at that point.

However, don't be mistaken that it will show on the most commonly used test then.

The Elisa test that tests HIV antibodies present in the blood cant detect them for about 4 weeks the least and 6 months the most. It takes some time until antibodies are formed thus there is a need for a 6 months window from exposure to taking the test in order for the results to be conclusive.

Back to early sypmtoms, you should also know that not everyone gets those imidiate symptoms and a lot that brush them off as a common cold.

I hope this helps!

Best of luck to ya!

Unfortunately, there's no one set answer for how soon you can tell if you have HIV or not for sure. I think it's about 6 months after exposure that it can show up in bloodwork though.

some people could take up to years for symptoms to show, however, most people by at least 6 months they should start having some symptoms

i must say that really depends.
theoraitically, it needs 3 to 4 months before u know the results ,i mean the final results of whether u have it or not, but one of my friend on positivesingles.com told me the dr. called him only 1 month later, and showed him the results
i dont whether the result is true and believable or not... but that quite uncommon...
