Chances for HIV?

For the past year and a half I have been getting sick very easy. I have had a very bad flu-like sickness, athletes foot, swollen glands, numerous colds, etc. I was never like this before a year and a half ago, I was always healthy. I looked up the symptoms for HIV and all that i had were symptoms. It could also be that I have had an extremely busy schedule the last year. full time work full time school and coaching football. I dont feel the stress, but some say it may be attributed to that. I checked with 2 girls I "did the deed" with and they say they are clean and have gotten checked recently. What do you suggest???

Seriously - why do people always jump to the worse case scenerio. I was taught it school that if you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras. That is if you are trying to diagnose a patient, always consider a more common reason than a more exotic one.

Stress can contribute to a decreased immune system. So let's break down your symptoms: flu-like illness (most likely the flu), athletes foot - very common fungal infection, especially in locker rooms; swollen glands -- any time your body has an infection they can swell; and finally numerous colds -- stress, closed in rooms with lots of people (class), and exposure to kids/teens can all contribute.

Now, if you had unprotected sex with these two girls then you are def. at risk for a STD. Personally, HIV is still fairly rare, I would be more worried about syphillis or chamydia - both diseases without a lot of symptoms. Go get tested and don't have unsafe sex again. Why take the risk.

Get checked yourself for HIV/Aids, Hep C and other STD's. Don't just take someone's word that they are clean.
A virus may appear to be gone after taking meds and feeling great, but may still be alive and dormant just to awaken again when you're stressed and run down and make you sick.
See your doctor to be sure.
A word of advice, always use a condom and after make sure it didn't leak or break.
