Is sinus infection a symptom of acute hiv? |
i have had a sinus infection for a few days and i am worried that it might be a symptom of acute hiv. i looked through the symptoms though but it wasn't listed. i did use a condom, but i'm still worried. i don't have a sore throat, and the phlegm/mucus is sticky and stuck behind my throat/nose. it seems to have started draining today. any advice would be appreciated. Oh, I don't have a headache/fever. I did take antihistimines (benadryl) but it hasn't really helped, maybe even made it clog up for longer. I also had loose bowels (not diarrhea or watery) but it seems to have gotten better. No , its not a symptom of hiv, No it's not. Getting tested never hurts though. I don't think you have anything to worry yourself about. It sounds like all you have is a simple sinus cold, but to ease your worries I recommend that you just go and get tested. A blood test is the best way to determine if you do or don't have it. I don't know what you mean by "acute hiv". But it sounds like you have a sinus infection, nothing more. |
