Had sexual contact 2 weeks ago, now have developed strange symptoms, scared it may be HIV? |
I'm a 24 yr old young man, 2 weeks ago I had protected sex (latex condom) with a girl. This was my first and only vaginal sex encounter so far. It could just be a bacterial infection. Dont panic until you have a real reason. You need to get tested to be safe. That simple. It is unusual to notice any sypmtoms of HIV so early...I think it has a longer incubation period...Im not sure. Just go get tested...the county health clinic is free and discreet. Go to the doctor. AIDS takes years to develop, it starts as HIV which is relatively symptom free and can go undiscovered for years so it unlikely to be this. Get it checked out by a doctor. HIV takes months to show up , you have something else , maybe herpies. This doesn't sound like HIV infection, which is extremely unlikely if you used a condom. You probably don't have AIDS, but if you keep screwing around you will end up getting it. Definitely not hiv!! And you can take that to the bank! First off you should go to the ER if your having problems with your airway!!! you could have Syphilis, because you kinda sound like you do....here some info on that.... go get tested u idiot! Get tested for any STD you can, but HIV may not show up for six months. It's also incredibly rare for a person to get HIV and have symptoms show up within two weeks. I'm just advising you to get tested for your own piece of mind. Having sex one time with a condom is possible - but unlikely - to lead to you getting an STD. WOW MAN i really dont know. but i think its just an infection. maybe the condom that you used. but maybe it can be STD. check some doctors. If you noticed symptoms after just a few days then you probably just had some type of reaction with the latex condom, especially if it was your first time using one. Most STD's won't show signs or symptoms right away or even after a couple days or weeks. I wouldn't worry, but if you are, just go see a dr. I am not sure what you mean that this is your first vaginal sex, I assume that either that this the first time you had sex or you had anal sex before ( which you should never have, due to the fact of the feces and baceria that leaves in there). It sound that with discoloration of the penis and having bumps in your penis that you have HERPES. Sometimes HIV testing does not show that you have HIV/AIDS because the virus is what we call in medical field INACTIVE, but it can be active anytime especially if you get sick like a cold, fevers, sore throats because your immune system weakens and even though it releases white blood cell to fight infection sometimes that is not enough and antibiotics are required. It sounds more like HERPES, but I still say you should see a doctor. Don't be ashamed. I work in a clinic and we have people all the time who come in for STD testing. Is this the first time you used a condom? I have heard some people that they have an allergy to latexx, even though condoms are made to be hypoallergic. The only way to determine for sure whether you have HIV/AIDS is to be tested for HIV infection. You cannot rely on symptoms to know whether or not you are infected with HIV. Many people who are infected with HIV do not have any symptoms at all for many years. But for those who do, what are the symptoms of HIV? First...three things to keep in mind. 1. In truth, the chances of you getting HIV from unprotected vaginal sex is very, very low ... even if the woman you're having intercourse with is infected (Less than 1 in 1,000). Still, you should always use protection. |
