Diseases that present symptoms similar to "HIV acute infection"? |
I got a high fever and chills suddenly, and felt really drowsy and lacked energy. Soon after, I got a headache and mildly nauseous (without any throwing up) and had mild diarrhea, a sore throat and severe cramps in my stomach, and in a few days developed a blotchy non-raised, painless rash on my chest and stomach. I had no appetite for 3 days, and suddenly my appetite came back, in high-gear. The symptoms lasted about 5 days. I did a search and HIV acute infection repeatedly showed up, but I am not sexually active. What might it be? Since I'm not sexually active and the symptoms have stopped, should I still go to a doctor? Panic attack, the flu, food poisoning...it could be anything. The symptoms of HIV/AIDS are very scary because they are similar to many other illnesses. I would go to the doctor if the symptoms persist. You prob. have the flu. get checked for hepatitis c (it's not a true STD however) so you could be infected! You should go to the doctor. It could be any disease. You could have had an allergic reaction to something. Did you eat anything you don't usualy eat? |
