Are symptoms HIV related? |
I am scared because I'm 100% sure that I slept with someone who was postive. He didn't tell me but I have this feeling.. I was so suspicious but I was dumb enough to do it. I had vaginal sex with him Ibut I swear I used all the condoms I had with him. I'm so scared because I don;t understand how I can still contract it with a condom. A couple months later I got two cankor sores within three weeks. I felt a llitle bit tired and a headache. I had a late period. I didn't really have flu-like symptoms but it could have beenmild. I felt like I was getting my period but I'm still unsure. It's been bothering me for months and I'm soo scared. I've been having anxiety attacks and I can't even sleep. WHat should I do? I am scared because I'm 100% sure that I slept with someone who was postive. He didn't tell me but I have this feeling.. I was so suspicious but I was dumb enough to do it. I felt like I was getting my period but I'm still unsure. It's been bothering me for months and I'm soo scared. I've been having anxiety attacks and I can't even sleep. It's been like 9 months since that time. I've had a cold but that's been it. I'm thinking by now that I'm in the asymptomatic stage. I hope to God not. I have a kid to take care of. I don't wanna die young!!!!!!!!! It's really a scary thing. The only sure way to find out is to get tested. Although condoms are the best defense, there's still a possibility. I'll be praying for you! GET TESTED! get a blood test. that's the only way to know. maybe the codom broke. good luck i hope u dont have it! go get tested, immediatley, even if it's nothing, your mind will be eased. Instead of making yourself crazy, go to the nearest AIDS clinic and get a free, anonymous blood test. Get tested. Most times, HIV has no outward symptoms. What you're describing sounds like Herpes, but I could be wrong. Get tested. those aren't HIV syptoms, they're more like herpes or some bacterial infection...HIV shows up several months later in the form of swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, dry mouth, and body aches. Dont get tested immidiately...wait 1 month at least after you slept with him/her...cause the tests check for HIV specific antibodies and it takes a month for your body to start producing them in amounts that are detectable if you have it. Your symptoms would not be likely to show up before 6 months after sex. You might have gotten Hepatitis C though as a lot of people who have HIV also have HEPC. HEP C is serious and needs treatment. when did you have sex with her? have your blood teested right this very day. if its negative have it screened again after six months. we call this 1st six months to 1 yr window period which means the virus cannot be detected in your blood stream. do this very six months int he next 2 yrs just to be sure.cores fluare one of its symptoms but maybe its some inda virus and not hiv. get tested!!! the reason why you feel the way you are feeling is because you are anxious, and i don't blame you you are in a difficult position , just don't sleep with anyone else till you get tested, HIV can result in symptoms, but it mustn't! There are a lot of symptoms e.g. um your symptoms sound like anxiety and stress related not hiv related. if the condom didn't break than why would you have hiv? but get tested it will make you feel better |
