there's actually a wide range of symptoms for HIV, so looking for symptoms is not accurate, that's why if you feel as if you've been exposed, you should get tested, however, symptoms CAN be flu like symptoms, HIV symptoms and mononucleosis symptoms are similar, swollen lymph nodes, fever, night sweats, HIV ARS (acute retroviral symptoms) are very very intense, your lymph nodes can be swollen for awhile, if you've encountered these symptoms, then it's best to get tested, but people usually encounter symptoms, if you want to a further understand about HIV and its symptoms and risks go to the links i provided below and read up on some cases, the more you read what the MD's write, the more you'll understand how the virus works.

There are too many symptoms to name on here. There are also no symptoms. Many people who have HIV or AIDS are a symptomatic, meaning they have no symptoms. If you have had unprotected sex, get checked immediately!

Some people have no syptoms. Some have flu-like symptoms.
Your best bet is getting tested.

If you are looking for a way to determine if you or your partner is infected, get tested, as many people will not show any symptoms for years after infection. Some will have flu like symptoms shortly after infection and then nothing until their viral load peaks or some other illness sets in.
