Can HIV symptoms not show for over 1 year and a half?!? |
Just wondering if symptoms can not show! If its over a year will your immunee system fail?! Or will you notice your immune system failing? or can u not notice! when you say years, can it be up to like 4 years? or is it noticable by then?! Yes, I'm afraid, you cannot notice your immune system failing. HIV virus can go undetected even for more than 10 years. yeah. it can take years to be noticeable. HIV doesnt actually have symptoms until it becomes AIDS. The only way to know about HIV is to get tested. Incubation period of HIV from time of exposure to the onset of symptons (AIDS) can be up to 10 years. Incubation period is up to 10 years. Keep up with testing if you think you were exposed. HIV is not a death sentence, but AIDS is. My brother-in-law just thought he had a flu he couldn't shake. He was diagnosed '99. Died New Year's 2007. Testing is so important. You could have it 10-15 yrs. before you have symptoms and then it might be too late for hope; sad to say. Yeah, after a few years, if you really know your body, you can tell that you're not healing as fast. The other answers here are great. |
