HIV Symptoms??

After reading about HIV, studies are starting to suggest that some HIV postitive people had symptoms when they were first infected. Has this happened to anyone that has HIV? What symptoms did you experience if any? Thank you in advance.

Yes you do get sick from first getting infected with HIV. It is call the seroconversion. This when your body first detects the virus and starts creating antibodies. It will feel like a very bad case of the flu. Fever, upset stomach, achey joints. Some don't feel any, but most do, they dont realize it is a seroconversion cause they dismiss it as a cold or flu, but its really the beginning of your immune system starting to fight the virus.

That is false, so forms of HIV lies domant for years without symptoms.

It is true - in some cases, the virus lays dormant for many years before showing symptoms.

Seroconversion is horrible. When I was first infected, I had a horrible flu, I threw up basically everything and I basically felt like I was dying. I ended up losing a good 10kgs and the whole episode lasted a good month.
