Should i get tested?

i had a sexual encounter about 8 months ago with this girl i didn't know. This was the first time i had sex and i did use a condom. i didn't ejaculate in her but i'm worried that i may have gotten HIV. I don't know if she had it and i haven't seen her since then. What should i do? Im freaking out here...i think that i'm 'seeing' symptoms...

Go to your local Planned Parenthood and see if they have HIV/AIDS tests. I am certain that they have STD tests for free or cheap. (see website below for more info)

You can also go to your local health department and they should have tests too. If they do not, see your doctor.

HIV/AIDS is not something to put off testing. You want to try to get control of it before it ruins your immune system.

But hold on a second. HIV/AIDS comes from the exchange of bodily fluids if one of the people is positive. If you used a condom and didn't participate in oral sex and didn't exchange spit, blood, or semen, it is VERY unlikely that you have it.

If you are uncertain, it is better to find out so you can do something about it.

It is better to get tested and know for certain if you have HIV than not to get tested because you are afraid of the results. You do not have to ejaculate in a person to be infected just having unprotected sex puts you at risk. I have worked at a doctor's office and we tested people all the time. If you do not have HIV then you are lucky and if you do indeed have HIV you have many routes you can take. I suggest you get tested and then you will stop worrying once you know. Good luck and may everything work out for you!

first of all, don't freak out about the symptoms because you will make yourself have symptoms you don't even have. If you are worrried, then i would get tested. I was one time and felt so much better after I got tested. You will drive yourself crazy and convince yourself you have even if you don't.
