Aids?do i have it?

Well i was diagnosed with herpes about a week ago and ive been on valtrex ( and all the bumps are pretty much invisible now)
then yesterday i found out i received chylmidia (sp?) too.
ive already took the medicine yesterday to cure that also.

my moms flipping out and so am i because could this be a sign i have aids or hiv?? or could this just be because i was stupid and had unprotected sex and got two common std's..


please help me with information about aids and hiv and if i have it because i have herpes and had chlymidia


(OH. and no i dont need any comments saying how stupid i am for doing this and wow i really messed up and i should go get tested...because for one i know i messed up and i dont need any smart comments from anyone..and im going to go get tested in 6 months..i just want information and help from people)

Since you have had unprotected sex, you are at risk of having HIV. AIDS is a disease that is caused by HIV. AIDS usually takes some time to develop once you are HIV+.

Just because you have herpes and chlamydia doesn't mean that you have HIV also. They are different diseases all by themselves. They are not "signs" of HIV. Unprotected sex is what increases your risk of HIV. A person may be HIV+ and NOT have herpes or chlamydia. They don't have to go hand in hand.

Because you attracted two stds, doesn't make you got aids. But whenever you have unprotected sex you can get aids.. if the person who have sex with has aids or HIV. I want to say you are fine, and you probably are, but there is always a chance. Try not to worry about it too much, but if you have sex with anyone else.. make sure you are protected, because if you do have it.. you can give it to them.

First of all you're not stupid. You just made a mistake. Everyone makes them. As long as your learn from this then it's going to be okay :)
Having chlymidia is not terrible. It's one of the most common STD's there is. If your partner has had any kind of sex with a lot of people without using a condom then you could be at risk for HIV (which causes AIDS). If your partner also has any kind of STD (chlymidia, gonrohea, herpes, syphills(sp?), or hiv/aids then he could have passed it to you. try and talk to your partner about this to see if he has an STDs.
Herpes is worse than chlymida and there is still no cure but your medicene is working for treatment. which is good. but this still does not mean you have aids/hiv. you can find out when you get tested again.
until then, just if you have sex with anyone else, make sure its protected so you dont pass on chymidia, herpes, or possibly hiv/aids to them. use a conmdom that protects against stds and make sure your partner is aware of your stds. and talk to them.
