Im not sure how to break this to him.... Someone help!?

So my boyfriend and I both got tested (all STDs and HIV) last week- we will both get results today. I called and they said I was clean- but I have HPV. I think he has forgotten to call b.c his Best Friend is coming into town (drove 4 hours) to meet me for the 1st time and my boyfriend is really excited.

--- So I need to tell my B/f but Im not sure how/when to tell him. I can't call him from work b.c I dont want anyone from work to hear. and I can't tell him tonight b.c his friend will be around.

How/when would you tell him?? The Nurse said it wasn't a huge deal-I would just need to follow up with them every 6 months.

Just wait until the friend leaves. You'll need some time alone with your bf and it's not appropriate conversation topic while the friend is around. But don't have sex again until you talk about it. Maybe get him to call for his results too. That way you can have more knowledge about whether he already has it or not.

I agree with another person here. It would be good to read about it too, while you're waiting for the friend to leave.

Don't panic though. It's probably the least harmful STD to have and the most treatable .. although I don't think there is a cure. If you have a doctor that you can talk to, you can probably ask them a bunch of questions too. I'm sure there's LOTs of information on the internet as well. Just try and make sure you're getting it from a reliable source and not just someone's opinion.

Well, you both went for these tests so I presume subconsciously you were aware the results could go either way. I agree with the other answer, read up on the condition, both for yourself and for him. I personally would wait until his friend has gone and then tell him. Encourage him to get his results too and talk with him about your diagnosis, take care x

start by getting all the info. Here is a good place to start
http://www.gardasil.com/hpv/hpv-types/hp...
there are many other great sites so get all your facts. Many people get/have it.
after you have done your homework I would sit him down and explain to him what it is and share with him all the info. This is not a super urgent issue but something you should share with him.
