What should I do I have AIDS?!?!?!?

I have AIDS and dont know how to tell my parents, I was tested last week and was positive for HIV!!!what can I do? I am going to die!

I am only 17!
What should I do?

Bless your heart well first of all you are not dying its not a death sentence you need to let your parents know so they can get you the proper treatment and medication just calm down tell them what you found out and start working on staying healthy you can live a long life with this disease and its not the end for you stay positive and take your meds and you will get thru it good luck

Firstly, your heading says that you have AIDS when in fact you don't. They're 2 very different things and you can live a very long, healthy and happy life with HIV.

Secondly, you should tell your parents and you should consider taking them to counselling with you so they learn more about the disease. It's not a life sentence btw, it's treated as a chronic illness.

And finally, I'm a 29 year old HIV+ female and I have been positive for nearly 5 years. I'm always here if you want to talk to someone. *hugs*

get tested again elsewhere. its not all that easy to contract HIV. if its true then u have to tell ur parents. they might be judgmental at first but im sure they will come back to their senses. ur still the person u were before. your parents are the best people to guide u through this difficult phase, but im confident u will come to learn that there is life after the disease just like any other chronic illness.
