I have a few concerns?

I am a paranoid wreck recently....I have just attended my scan a week ago and I am now 13 weeks all appears well ive heard the heartbeat seen the heartbeat and the baby looks fine according to the sonographer which is great!

Well my concerns are:-

1) I had blood tests such as blood count, blood group, HIV, Hepititus and Syphillis on the morning of the 18th April and I still havent heard (would they keep me waiting until my scan in June if there was anything wrong with the results of the tests or would I have heard something by now???

2) I was watching coronation street last night (UK program) and maria had just found out her baby had died (she was 24 weeks) this has really concerned me as I am 13 weeks and I hoped that my chances of anything going wrong now would have dropped how often does this happen?? what should you watch out for??

3) Should I still be feeling stretching pains now I had some over the weekend and I also had pain in my hips and inner thigh is this normal?

1. usually - this is the case where i live anyway- no news is good news on the blood tests, if there was anything which was cause for concern they would have contacted u a.s.a.p

2.it's normal to feel scared n protective when ur pregnant especially when it's ur 1st baby!!
i think ur thinking of misscarridge which is uncommon after 12 weeks- but some people r unlucky n things do happen but that DOES NOT mean it's going to happen to u ! u would know instinctively if something was wrong
get ur doc to reasure u if it's affecting ur daily life!!

3. yeah thats normal ur body is going to change a lot over the coming months- ur whole pelvis will change shape to give birth but is so gradual some women don't even feel it!!

My blood test results took ages to come back but they will send them to you and not wait until your next scan (at least they should)

What happened to Maria is sad but fortunately rare and you are right, after 12 weeks risks of issues such as miscarriage drop considerably.

You will feel all kinds of niggling and stretching pains throughout your pregnancy.

With regards to the blood tests, they only contact you if there is a problem, I never heard from these on any of my pregnancies.

I can understand your concerns as I think most of us who are preggie all have anxieties.
