Im kinda scared...my doc just called and said that...?

she has some test results to discuss with me.She said it was nothing to worry about but she just wanted to discuss them with me...Now my dilemma is that she called and left a message and I was wondering if she siad there was nothing to worry about because she wouldnt be available till Monday to talk to or if she was really telling the truth. I took STD test including HIV and Herpes tests...Have any of you had your doctor lie to u over the phone just so that you wouldnt worry for 3 days till they could talk to you again...I dont know how to feel...i hada rash down there and so i know it had to be something...sorry for such a long question. Im just kinda scared

I cant call her back because she wont be in again till Monday...and I would LOVE not to worry but i guess u couldnt understand the trauma that i have expereinced in the past month anda half...the reason i am so worried is that my EX was raped (by a man) a while back...didnt tell me, became emotionally abusive, got addicted to COKE took off the condom one nigh we had sex w.out my knowledge and then disappeared...i have been having horrible anxiety attacks for like a while ever since I found out about the rape...I JUST CANNOT seem to deal with it all.

Most doctors prefer to talk with you in person, whether it is good news or bad news. That way they can explain better in STD prevention.

Some places even, legally cannot disclose what your results are unless it is in person. If she said you have nothing to worry about, I'd say just relax, make an appointment, and find out what she has to say. It sounds like you have nothing to worry about ;)

Your results could be something as minor as a mild yeast infection. Fact of the matter is, Dr does not get paid to give lab results out over the phone. This is a main reason for calling people in to discuss lab results. I know this cause I work for a Dr. I would not worry about it at this time.

Honestly..I took a tests for all STDs several years ago. The nurse called me and told me to come in to discuss results. I had an STD. They cannot discuss your results over the phone due to privacy violation. It may be nothing or a curable std. Sorry. Good luck.

no doctor is legally allowed to discuss that stuff (test results) over the phone. you probably do considering she asked you to come to her office. i am so sorry. make sure not to apply anything to it right now becuase it could only make it worse. good luck!
