I've been to the doctor several times but i still think i have herpes!!!?

I've been to my doctor three times and to the ER two times for some weird things going on down under. i didn't have chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital warts, or HIV but the tests results for herpes and hep-b are still pending. I get VERY VERY VERY VERY itchy most of the time and when I scratch my balls for a while, the area that I scratch gets kind of swollen but eventually goes down after a couple of hours. I showed my doctor some weird bumps on the shaft and he said it was just the natural skin texture. I trust him since he is a good doctor (he told me he has seen his fair share of herpes) and all but I am still nervous since the herpes and hep-b test results have not come in yet. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this all in my head? I'M GETTING ITCHY AGAIN!!!!! I have pains in the tip of my penis and a soreness on the left side. No burning during urination.

In one of your questions/commentpost said that you had herpes now you're not sure? My suggestion to you is to go to another Dr and have blood drawn. If you're positive, the antibodies will show up in your blood if you do have herpes and have had it more than 2-20 days.

You need to get a blood test for herpes antibodies. Even if you have a culture done where they take a q-tip and wipe it over the irritated area and send it to the lab, it could be herpes but come back negative because you have to be in a certain stage of a breakout to get a positive reading that way. The blood test will show if you have ever been exposed to herpes regardless of a breakout or not.

an itchy scrotum w/o sores could be an allergy to your soap or to the cloth your underwear is made of. It could also be sweat irritation . Of course they are going to swell if you keep clawing at them. Also if you have shaved them it could be razor rash.

It you have small sores you could have a yeast infection or a fungal infection often known as jock itch or athletes crotch. If your doctor really though it was herpes he would have said so.
Anyway here are the symptoms for Hep B
General illness-flu like feelings enlarged and tender liver dark urine yellow eyes and skin sores. Most people get a vaccine for this as a child.

Here is genital herpes symptoms
itching and tingling followed by painful blister at infection site painful urination swollen glands and fever. Breakout will come and go.

from what you described I would bet on yeast or jock itch
