I need a good quick answer... US marines (military) and stds?

When you go into the Marines or military...whichever do you get tested for STDS? I mean thoroughly, and if you're positive then what do they do? I mean you can't do anything for most STDS (HIV/AIDS) I've heard of an HIV test implied but I don't know if they check for any other stds, and if someone has HIV do they still let them in the military???

and to further state I mean basically people that just joined withing the last year, I know 20 years ago they more than likely never tested for STDs
