Western blot test?

Hi. i would really thank anybody can put time to answer me about this.
my fiance had an ELISA test almost 10 days ago and she received the result as Positive. she had to do the Western blot test and doctor told her it may takes up to 4 weeks. in a mean time doctor also did the ELISA test on me because she said because of your sexual contact without using condom you should probably be infected after this six months that we are with eachother and had sexual contacts with eachother all these times. i did my test and it came negative and we both did the ELISA test again 2 days ago and still mine came negative and hers came positive. she is really scared and is too hard for her to wait 3 more weeks to receive the western blot test. doctors told me either this ELISA test is wrong on her and she does not have any HIV or i am in my window period which i think its not possible after 6 months still i am in my window period. please help me with some answers so i can tell her . thanks

I mean ELIZA test was reactive.

1. She will have to wait 3 weeks for the western blot test to know for sure if she is positive or negative. (For the record, the ELIZA does not come back positive or negative, it comes back and should be reported as reactive or non-reactive). ELIZA is a screening test meant to catch all people who are actually positive and a few that are truly negatve.

2. If she is positive, that doesn't mean that you are positve. There is the chance that you are in your window period (which would happend if you became infected after 4 months of being together) and there is the chance that you have not been infected yet. Again IF she is positve, her viral load (amount of virus in the body) may be low and even though you have had sex, without a condom, you haven't become infected. However, in the meantime, if you have sex, use a condom. You need to get tested again in 3 months.

Please, I know it is hard, but its a waiting game now. Be supportive of her, but also protect yourself in the meantime in case she is positive and if she is positve, you need to repeat the test.
