Question about HIV case in my life. need help?

I always use condom in my "few" relationships before - during 2004 - end of 2007, until now i am in serious relationship with my current gf. we had a unprotect sex last week and next day after that she became sick - sore throat and feel like a flu.
i was worry sick, i went to blood test, my is 0.33 they told me below 1 is normal. but also tell me to come check again 6 month. my gf is getting better with her flu, but still got running noise and dry cough. i dont know what to do. i havent told her anyhting. because i afaird she will not forgive me. I love her so much thinking of marrying her. i am so worried.

do anyone of you think she might get hiv. and i might have hiv on me as well?
thank you for any help and adviece you can give me. ^^

how long after been infected can the blood test detect the hiv virus present?
for me since last time i had sex before my current gf, it was 2 months ago.

is there any chance i have HIV but the blood test still cant find it now?

Andy it is important to keep things in perspective in regards to your gf. Try not to worry about infecting her; you currently have little reason to believe you are infected.

Your gf getting sick the next day is too soon if she had been infected by HIV. More typically this would happen 2-4 weeks after infection.

Same holds true for you; if you were infected 2 months ago, you likely would have had 'flu like symptoms by now. The test may give false negatives up to 3 months after infection. If it will help with the worry, ask for another test in about a month and have protected sex until then.

Once you feel reassured that you do not have HIV, you may want to have a conversation with your gf. Many committed couples who decide to have unprotected sex make the following "deal"

You both agree to be tested for STIs to confirm you are both 'clean'. Both of you naturally agree that you will not cheat on one another, and promise to tell the other if you do.

This sounds corny, but it will allow you to enjoy unprotected sex with each other without fear and worry.

dont be freaked out.. and dont say anything to her.. u will probly just upset her for nothing. it is allergy season and winter is ending but still some viruses are still lingering... sooo just go back in 6 months and then you can become worried...

It doesn't sound like there is a lot yo worry about. But for your peace of mind, find a local clinic or AIDS service organization that does free HIV testing and get one done. You will sleep better.

Nothing to worry about.
