get aids from saliva? Like i want someone with HIV touching my silverware at a restraurant or touching my food. If a HIV infected worker at a restaurant sneezes on you, you're fuct !!

Your teetering on a fine ledge of fanaticism and reality! Your AID's phobia is out of control. Did you know that you can test for ulcers,high blood sugar,dna,hepatitis,herpes,TB,etc just from saliva!
If HIV was as easily transmittable as the aforementioned diseases coupled along with your twisted theory. We would all have it! There would not be a person alive without it! Every time someone would open a door,pick up a payphone,stand in an elevator or use a drinking fountain would get infected by your logic.
Nobody in the world would want to touch anybody or anything.As a nurse (who is a germaphobe) I have yet to catch HIV and I deal with bodily fluids that I'm sure you didn't even know ever existed.
Please go to the AIDS foundation homepage and read the facts and figures.TRUST me... there are better chances of you catching other diseases by just being in public and some of these diseases make HIV look like a walk in the park!

Okay... get your brain on straight. I know it's early. You CANNOT get AIDS or HIV through saliva. This is a saliva TEST for HIV. As in... a test on your saliva to see if you are positive. Much like a piss test for drugs... Do you think you can get stoned drinking someone's positive pee too? It's the same concept as what you are saying. Blood and sexual contact... infected needles... these are the ways to contract HIV. Not saliva.

Did you really read the article? The very last sentence says saliva collection poses no threat. I have a friend with HIV and he has sneezed near me, used my toilet, and when he leaves I give him a friendly kiss and hug. I've known him about 23 years and he hasn't given me or my children the virus. Please do your research before posting stuff like this. You are causing an uproar that need not be started. Its hard enough for the people that contract the virus and you are only adding to the situation. Rent Philadelphia and really watch it. Try and put your self in Tom Hanks characters' shoes and imagine what it must be like to be living wiith such a deadly disease.
