HIV testing and relationships? |
ok so me and my boyfriend (im gay) have been in a relationship for a while and we have decided for our relationship to be more "physical" if you get what i meen. You should both get tested. If he sees your willing to get tested with him he knows your there for him. It will only make your relationship stronger!! good luck!! I have difficulty with this question because I've asked 2 men about their HIV status before we were intimate. Both told me they were negative. And it turned out that both were HIV positive, although I was only intimate with the one, and luckily I didn't get it from him. But still, I was in a relationship with the other one for 4 months, and he had told me he was negative, but something about him bothered me and I wouldn't have sex with him, and THE DAY HE BROKE UP WITH ME, he told me he has AIDS. He broke up with me because I wouldn't have sex with him, and its a good thing I didn't. Think safety, not comfort. Go get tested, whether you do it yourself, or together. If it bothers either one of you to get it together, then do it separately, as long as you do it. |
