And isn't it just typical that the bigots on here assume the questioner is gay, rather than just assuming that he asked here because gay people might be be better informed about HIV? They obviously aren't aware that the highest rate of new infections is among young African-American females.

I would certainly hope so! I was inadvertently exposed to it once by some a**hole who just didn't give a crap about people and didn't care to tell me. All my tests came back negative after 6 months with no sex. That test was apparently conclusive which means I would've known if I was positive by that point because my body would have built up the antibodies that are present when you have HIV.
