When you get your hiv test, the results are accurate for 3 months ago and longer. If you've had sex in the 3 months prior to your test, you'll need to get another one 3 months from the last time you had sex to be totally sure that you're negative. Then you can start trying for a baby. If you're positive, there are drugs you can take to significantly reduce the chances of transmission to the baby. Good luck!
