Kaiser Permanente members/ STD Blood work! how many days?

Does anyone know how long it takes for Kaiser Permanente Hospital to do a STD blood check up like HIV? I know for their blood work, it'll take atleast 24 hours which ull get ur results in 1 day.

I once got a STD blood check up done and the results were avaliable the same day..but im not for sure if the nurse just said that to say it..

but does anyone know how long, really? Its been since tuesday since i got my HIV test done and I am deathly scared..here it is friday.. i wonder if theyll call me or no news is good news?

Most hospitals and clinics send tests such as HIV testing to a reference laboratory. The reference lab then batches all the tests and only do them on certain days. So, yes, it can take a while (5-7 days is the norm) for your tests to get back.
In general, when it comes to tests, no news is good news. Doctors are pretty on the ball when they need to call someone with positive test results, but they sure can take there time when everything is in the clear. Most times they won't even call, you just get a note in the mail saying everything turned up normal. Hope this helps!
