Epstein barr and cmv?

I was just told I have epstein barr and cmv virus and my doctor has just ordered and hiv test. This is confusing since I have no way of contracting hiv. help......

Usually CMV is one of the first signs that someone is infected with HIV, it is a common virus for someone who is immunocompromised. The same thing goes for Epstein-Barr but I was taught that CMV is one of the first thing to happen. However, anyone can get both of these viruses, it doesn't mean that you have HIV- it is just a precaution. best of luck

never had sex with another human being ever, never had any medical procedure, never eaten food prepared by another person? seems mathematically unlikely. take the test, if there is no way you could have been exposed then a negative result can be anticipated,but not counted on 100$. realize, your doctor has likely heard the phrase "I just can't have &*^%$#(@".
