HIV Negative after all the symptoms, read my story!?

I felt I should make it known... many of you may know my repeated questions about HIV/AIDS. I suffer from OCD, depression, anxiety, post trauma due to a rape that happened to me 3 months by someone I knew.

He tested negative and was sent off to jail and will be appearing in court to face me soon. Well, in the matter of 3 months, I developed over 3 pages worth of symptoms on top of having surgery. I was convinced. I'll list the symptoms by memory, but i am sorry..i cannot find my list

Sore throat that last for months, lump in the throat, pins and needles, sore jaw, shooting pains all over my body (painful), sweating a little bit at night, sore legs, achy joints, ears ringing, constant crying for 3 months, pains in my neck and feet, tingling arms and feet, cold hands, itchy eyes, chest pains, a consistently high blood pressure, i thought my feet were swollen twice, shaky hands, coughing for 1 month that never went away.. SURGERY bc of a infection..

I seeked help, speak to a pyschiatrist, became friends with nurses, been to the doctor over 100+ in 3 months because I was worried sick that I had HIV because of the rape.. doctors thought it was all in my head because normal xrays, normal blood work, HIV test negative over 10 times in 3 months, breathing test normal, everything was normal and they thought it was in my head.. they prescribed with 5 different anxiety medications along with prozac for depression...

after all that, 3 months later.. I GOT A HIV NEGATIVE TEST after all the symptoms. My doctor knew I would be okay. She never felt any swollen lymph nodes, she didn't see anything abnormal in the past 3 months... but u know what.. the symptoms I FELT WERE REAL!

I think back, and I thank God everyday for what he has done for me. I prayed and prayed and felt I had a hard time the past 3 months.. this friend raped me and how am I supposed to really want to believe that it happened.. but it did.. DONT GIVE UP ON THE TEST!

Congrats congrats, now u should feel free!! Finish school and live your life to the fullest, u did nothing wrong, and I had all the hiv symptoms too, but yet to get a bfn at 4months later!!!! U didnt make the mistake, but use this knowledge in the future if u decide to date, becasue u never know who may have it, but u now know u dont!

That was an amazing story and god is an awesome god. I thank him for everthing and he has really given you a blessing and he has blessed you because he will not give you more then you can't bear. hang on to his word and he will be there all you have to do is praise his name.

You are one of the lucky ones! Or should i say blessd! There are so many people on here with the opposite results! Thank God!!!

It sounds like you truly have survived a situation that could create fear in anyone. I applaud you for all you have done, the doctor, seeking mental health professionals, and reading and gathering information. The problem when some people read about "signs", "symptoms" some of us take on the symptoms we read about. That can be destructive, especially depending where you get the information from.

From all you have said you do not have anything to worry about, retesting at the 6 month time will give you the final "block" for your peace of mind. Go for it, then please put all your worries aside, concentrate on your education, and do something great for yourself. You deserve it.

I'm happy to hear that your test result was negative. As you said, anxiety and stress can manifest themselves in many ways, including some of the physical symptoms you've experienced. Continue talking with your psychiatrist/counselor regarding your anxiety and stress, and take care of yourself!
