I worry about hiv? |
i have been promiscious when younger..now i am 15 weeks pregnant.often my midwife will call to remind me of my appointments or if i miss one.i got blood tests last thursday including one for hiv..i never went in for results monday, and to get my first scan etc...so she calls me tues 2pm a bit annoyed about this..i say i will come right in but she reschedules me for 2 weeks saying it is very important i attend my appointments.I am worried i have hiv...but now is friday and nobody has called me since.what you reckon??? well you need to go to your appts. Communication with your doctor/midwife is very important. I think no one but the person who is holding the results know. You were promiscious and there is a chance that one or more of the people you slept with could have given you HIV, but at the same time, there is a chance that you haven't. The longer you wait, the worse the anxiety will be. I say you need to face up the results and walk right into the office and tell them you need your test results. You have to go in. Prenatal care is important . Don't you want the best for your baby? SUCK IT UP AND GO TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS. You are 15 weeks and still putting them off. COME ON. If you had HIV she would have said so rigth away. But you shouldn't miss appointments, they can't keep track of you if you do. things like Excessive weight gain or loss. so on. That and if you have an appointment you miss then you are messing with her schedual it is rude. you probably don't have hiv, they would usually tell you to come in right away, and some places will tell you over the phone. Call your midwife and ask about the results. I think I just answered this, did you ask this using another account? If so, please read that answer!! she's telling you that its important that you attend your appointments because it IS important. As far as the HIV goes... Im sure if the results were positive they'd see you sooner than 2 weeks.. Just try to keep up with your appointments and things like not knowing results wont happen. |
