Should I be this paranoid about hiv?

I recently had sex (unprotected oral sex) with a friend of mine. I got some of his precum on my tongue and wiped it off. H told he had been tested recently and not to worry. I was so paranoid though i asked him to get another afterwards. Hes totally willing to get another which restores some of my trust but not all. I know you can get hiv from precum but i heard it was very hard to do. But i wiped it off! But he likes anal sex i didnt do it but he wanted to. Also he said he will get tested again for me. Should i be worried? How soon can i get a test? I heard 25days is the average?

I would test now. Then again later. HIV usually shows up with in the first 30 days of infection, 94-96% after 60 days, and 99.6% after 90 days. With oral sex, if you don't have any open sores in your mouth, it is very LOW risk.

If he is that willing to test again, he is one special friend, and has a strong value system.

Here is some comfort, you will have an idea if you have HIV within maybe a few days to a few weeks of possible infection.

If you have flu-like symptoms within 2-3 days to several weeks after infection that LAST a couple of weeks, I would go get tested. If not, you should be fine but still tested just in case. This is the acute stage of HIV

3 months.. early than 3 months is too soon and that was what i was told by the aids hotline of san francisco, ca and 3 doctors along with 2 HIV specialists that said.. 3 months.. and that the wait is a pain...

plus.. if hes going to get tested.. atleast he cared to go!
