HIV.......paranoid?help?!?

ok im 14 years old. i went to use a unisex bathroom in wal-mart to do a no.2 but there was no more toilet paper and i was already on the toilet. i saw a little box that had crushed toilet paper and i took one out. turns out that the little box was a tampon despenser. what if i have HIV? i dont want to get a test...i just need some comforting! what if my brothers or sisters have it from drinking out of a cup i drunk out of...HELP! EXTREMLEY SCARED?!? it happened about a month ago and i think about it day and night... some days i forget but then i remeber again everytime i hear about it

i hear HIV dies within 24-48 hours in exposure to air... HELP!!!!!!!! im so scared.... im to embarassed to discuss this with anyone except on sites liek this

Don't worry, Mr. Paranoya. Since that is you're name, I hope you'll listen to our advice, and I know more always helps. Well, don't worry about the people who drank from the same cup as you. AIDS cannot be passed along from Saliva, as it is a disease in your blood, passed through bodily fluids. And since it wasn't a sanitary napkin you wiped yourself with, and only a piece of paper, you'll be fine. I get a little hypochondriac sometimes too. Don't worry about it so much.

You were never at risk. That blood was dried, exposed to oxygen and you didnt penetrate that is you cleaned yourself with a tampon, as disgusting as that may sound, you are not at risk for HIV. HIV only lasts a few seconds when exposed to oxygen. As far as your siblings, you dont catch HIV by sharing a glass, spoon, plate, ect.

u can make ur self sick by being scared, but to answer ur question the tampon if infected takes about five min for hiv to die outside of the body, so u will be fine, oh stay in school
