Confidential HIV Test? What do I need? |
So I am going to get a confidential (not anonymous) HIV test taken, and I would like to know from others who've gotten one before, what it's like? You don't need to take anything. You will fill out a paper that has your name, address and how you wish to be contacted. They will have you read a form the explains the HIV test, and you will need to sign a consent form. By law all your paperwork had to be kept filed away with only a few clinical staff with access. I dont know where you are located but I live in Canada and you can take an anonymous test in specified clinics. You do not need anything to bring with you. Just bring yourself! It is called anonymous and they do not require any address, social, etc... no ID. If your already seeing a Doctor you wont need any papers or personal info unless your first registering to see a doctor all you need is to ask your doctor if you can have an HIV/AIDS test or other test that you want concerning your health. Good for you!!!! That is so responsible...you shouldn't need any papers...they will have you fill out papers probably and you should know all the info....the results are confidential...they will let you know if it is positive..all the HIV tests I've had they never called and I asked my Dr. why they didn't call when the results were in and he said it was because they were negative...good luck and God Bless Hi i have seen about HIV on website this |
