My friend went for hiv test it was positive then after 1 year it was negative?

IF your friend tested HIV+ a year ago, did s(he) get into medical care? If not I would strongly encourage your friend to seek a doctor who will do intensive blood work. As others have stated one of the two tests was wrong. At this point I would get to a medical setting for follow up testing and discuss options with a trained professional.

Did your friend tell you this? Your friend either has it or does not have it. Maybe the testing was all wrong the 1st time OR maybe the testing was all wrong the 2nd time. Maybe your friend should see an infectious disease specialist so that accurate testing can be done.

The person needs to be tested again, obviously hiv doesn't just come and go like that. Make sure you try different blood banks not just the same company

It might have been a false positive the first time, or a false negative. Your friend needs to get tested again and see what happens next.
