Should I Have an HIV Test After Going to Planned Parenthood? Am I Being Paranoid? |
I made the mistake of going to Planned Parenthood for a pap test/pelvic exam. I received a copy of my medical records and noticed that the nurse had made several lies. She falsely wrote down that she gave me breast self exam instructions, educated me on STDs, etc. On top of that, both the nurse and medical assistant were extremely rude. HIV is contracted from bodily fluids, so if there was some "fluids" on the metal speculum and it came in contacts with your body fluids then there is a possibility. Be on the safe side, and get tested, you never know what's in store. Well whether u went there or not u should have regular STD testing. However, I do think that u should contact the labor board and let them know what is going on. It's very important that they get inspected so that they don't hurt others. you can only get HIV through blood. |
