What could be wrong with me?

I have been having these head aches lately and about 9 months ago I slept with a girl and got a urinary tract infection. After that I was feeling sick and thought I had HIV, so I went and got tested for stds about 6 months after. I really expected for them to say I had something but they said all tests were negative. I almost could not accept that. I know something is wrong, Its always on my mind. I constantly feel like some things not right. I get headachs and feel nausious and I feel like my neck is stiff and achy. Also I feel detached at times or easily confused and its hard to concentrate. I try to convince mysellf that I am making this stuff up in my head except I actually buy advil for the headachs regularly. I just havent been right since I slept with that girl. Any ideas?
By the way I am 23 and male.

It's not an std. Non-aural migraines have similar symptoms of headaches and nausea as well as some detachment from reality before or after it hits. I don't think the neck thing is related either, could be from sitting or sleeping in a bad position or just bad posture. Both of these problems usually start becoming prominent at about your age.

There's also an unlikely possibility that you have a brain tumor. Consult a doctor anyway.

The only thing I know of that makes you have neck and head pain is meningitis. Your doctor can order tests for that.

Its possible that you are just having a serious guilt trip. What about the experience is sticking with you? Your symptoms could be from the psychological trauma you're having.

Go back to your doctor and tell them about all of the symptoms. they can at least point you in the right direction, if you need further STD tests or what. Tell them how often you worry about it. maybe you're depressed or have anxiety.

Best of Luck!

Go to a sexual health clinic as opposed to a regular gp as they will specialize more in this area.good luck.

Any chance you live in a tropical area, or visited a tropical area? It sounds a lot like ross river fever. Go back and get another blood test.
