STD and HIV Questions!!!! I'm really scared!!!! HELP? |
I had unprotected sex last April 2008.. I've been tested for HIV (AIDS) 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months after.. The result came out negative. Does it mean I'm HIV-free?? Not using contraception has taken over your life it seems! it sounds like you are not HIV + because if you are clear after 6 months then that means you are negative! you could have clamydia tho as there are usually no symptoms for this, go get checked out as it can ruin fertility if left to long and in the future use something to save yourself alot of worry! relax! you are HIV-free! because if test is done after 6 months, then everything is ok because then test result is 100% correct! so dont think about HIV anymore! think about condoms and sex! :) If it's been 10 months since your last sexual contact and you've come back a negative result 6 to 9 months after your LAST contact, than YES, you are HIV NEGATIVE, so far. Now mind you, if your having sex now, unprotected, then you should get an HIV test every 6 months after your last activity. Just because you don't have any symptoms doesn't mean you are STD free. But from what I know for HIV if you have been tested 6 months after exposure you are clear from that. But you may still want to get tested for other STDs. You may have lucked out this time. But use protection! Not just to keep yourself safe but prevent pregnancy. If what you say is true.. It is a FACT that you do not have HIV... If you have had NO sex, not shared needles for IV drugs.. nor have been in direct contact with any HIV+ persons body fluids then YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV and get it out of your head.. you sound so paranoid! you should be lucky you didnt get her pregnant, why are you so worried, was she fearl or something, is this why you are so freaked out? I think you are okey but to be on the safe side just go for an std test to free your mind. |
