I am afraid I got HIV from a man who sodomized me while I was passed out drunk?

About a week ago I got very drunk at a bar and next thing I remember is waking up in my car while a guy I had met was sodomizing me. I must have passed out because I woke up from the pain. I don't remember if he also had vaginal intercourse with me but I'm assuming he did. He was not wearing a condom. I hardly remember what he looked like, don't know his name or personl information and of course know nothing of his history. The next day I went to the bathroom and there was blood in my anus, so now I know for a fact that his semen could have entered my bloodstream. While I took Plan B in case I would become pregnant, how soon can I take an HIV test and get accurate results? I don't think I can stand to wait three weeks especially because yesterday I started feeling achy with a sore throat and swollen gland in my throat. I'm really afraid I was given HIV. Do you think if he was HIV positive I would get symptoms this quickly (within a week), as I read that sore throat, achy muscles and swollen throat gland are early symptoms. I'm devastated and scared and ashamed and all of those things. Please help.

actually that hun sounds more like herpes to me. And if you don't have type 1 its possible to have an outbreak within the first week. Now if u do have type 1 herpes before u got infected with 2 then u wont have an outbreak right away. With aids i don't think the symtems show up that quick.

Have you gone to the doctor and been tested for the date rape drug? It is likely that he slipped something in your drink. You will need to test at three months and again at six for all STDS. This is an awful experience but I would be contacting the police as he obviously raped you.

Go to a clinic or DR. ASAP. Talk to a case worker and explain what happened. Sometimes, they provide help for raped victims. Unfortunately, tests require time and the only thing to do is to wait.

You couldn't have symptoms this quickly. The blood in your anus was from tears in your anal canal that would have occurred from the sodomy.

Get tested. Every 3 months for a year to make sure they all come out negative!

I think the first thing you should do is see a doctor. Second would be to quit drinking.

1. I would go to the doctor to seek professional advice
2. I would go to the police
3. Try to control your drinking in the future.

HIV test should be taken at least a month after intercourse. And again after 3 months and then again after 6 months.

a HIV test after a month is pretty accurate.
99% of all tests are accurate at 3 months.

Symptoms do not appear this early.

Find yourself a clinic that offers PEP. That is a way of preventing HIV in possible exposure cases.
The statistics are highly against you. The rate of transmission is 1 in 1000 for people with a confirmed positive status, and even lower for unknown.
It is important though that you get tested for all other STDs as well.

EDIT: If you did end up contracting HIV from him, you can prosecute. It is a felony in most states to infect someone who doesn't know with HIV.
