I鈥檓 very scared right now鈥ould I have HIV?

Around 4 days ago I paid a prostitute in exchange for sexual relations, I had a bit of a problem doing my thing because of the condom so she told me that I looked safe enough and we could do it without the condom, normally I wouldn鈥檛 even think of sex without a condom but I had a mix surge of feelings of embarrassment and worry because I wasn鈥檛 performing well enough and a bit of her charm helped me get on the wrong path so I took off the condom and we had unprotected sex, a decision that still haunts me.
I know nothing about the woman, if she is HIV positive or not but I am very scared, I know that it is too early to get tested (3 months after sexual intercourse I think) but anxiety and fear are killing me. I鈥檓 scared of talking to my parents, I鈥檓 scared of even talking to my grandparents, who I tell everything, about this. Also my throat is starting to hurt in the morning and I also feel weaker than usual, I know these are early symptoms of HIV and I am scared, so very scared that I might have caught HIV when I had unprotected sex with that prostitute, that one time that I will regret for the rest of my life.
Is there any possibility that I haven鈥檛 caught anything, not knowing if she is HIV positive or not? Is it 100% sure that I have it if she is HIV positive? Is it really 3 months before I can get tested? Is my soar throat in the morning and weakness during the day signs that I have HIV?
I am so scared right now, I don鈥檛 know what to do, please help! I鈥檓 afraid that if I have it my life is over, I mean if I do I am going to die in a few years anyway so I might as well end it soon and not waste my parent鈥檚 money.

If you are a health man with no STD's your odds of becomming infected with HIV from this experience is very slim. The prostitute is seven times more likely to get something from you than the other way around. Still, you may have been exposed to HIV and of course you should be tested. Some people test positive within two weeks of exposure but the majority will test positive within six months. However, some people will take up to twelve months to test positive.
If for some strange twist of fate you should be infected, its not the end of the world...take it from me. Your life would not be over and you would not exhaust all of your parents money. Certainly HIV is a life changing disease but it is not the end of the world. It is treatable today and those who are infected have a good life expectancy.

Please remember to protect yourself from now on. As important as sex is in the lives of all humans, you should protect your future and your future partners. There should never be an excuse for having unprotected sex, esp. with a prostitute, even if your stuff's not working at the moment. There was probably a reason for that!

Your county will most probably have some County Health Unit that has an STD clinic. You just need to call them and find out when they do their clinic..sometimes it's only once a month or once a week. My local health unit recently opened their STD clinic five days a week. They usually take patients as young as 13 without parents permission. The CDC recommends that everyone who is sexually active be tested at least once a year...every six months is better. You should find out the STD clinic schedule and get in the habit of getting tested regularly. As an HIV negative person, it is one thing that you can do to help stop the spread of this disease. Insisting on a condom EVERY time is another thing that you can do to help stop the spread.

oh my god dude, chill the **** out! it happens to the best of us. most men on the planet today have paid for sexual favors. nothiing to feel bad about. not all hookers have hiv,and on top of that i highly doubt that youd be seeing symtoms4 days later, if youre scared just goto a clinic, tell em whats going on and youll have results in a few days. its all in your head. hivs is not going to give you a sore throat anyways, unless youre past the point of hiv and it becomes aids and come down with a sore throat but that would take years to happen. if you ate her out and you got a sore throat, then.... i dunno... clamidia is a possibility. does it burn when you pee? clamidia aint too bad, one pill, one week, its gone. trust me bro... i know

Wow dude, you need to chill out man! You are already contemplating suicide and you don鈥檛 even know if you have anything. Just get tested, that鈥檚 the best thing you can do鈥nd if you are lucky and do not have anything learn from your lesson! Prostitutes have unprotected sex with many men per day, so there is no telling what you have if you do have something. And you may not get HIV/AIDS but you are putting yourself at risk for less serious but incurable STD鈥檚 like herpes or HPV. Good luck鈥?/div>
