Should not be worried unless it comes back positive, even then we have great new medicines.

If you opt to go to your doctor or hospital, they usually do a blood test. The blood is sent off and the results can take ten days.

The CDC recommends that everyone who is sexually active get tested at least once a year. You should learn when and where testing is done and get in the habit. You would be doing your part to help stop the spread of the disease by always being aware of your status.

You go to the lab or doctors office and they draw some blood from your arm. The test might take a week to get results back, but that is all that is done. That is all there is to it. Trust me, your 'friend' was kidding with you.

one of my friends was HIV negative but had a test for fun and said it was nasty like when you wake up next to a granny fanny

It's a simple blood test they can check for anything but if your worried get yourself tested.

just some bloodwork. a couple needles in your arm, not too bad at all, i think that can actuall be detected through urinalisus

They just draw some blood and send it to the lab. Nothing bad.
