When you donaye blood does the donor service inform you if the HIV or syphillis test come back positive? |
This is a question for people in the UK Anywhere in the world you donate blood they will test if for all things if it comes back as being a positive in anything they will inform you and the doctor you have on file but you could end up in serious trouble if you have a suspicion but go and give blood anyway. Have a complete blood work done by your doctor. They will always test for infectious diseases so it does not infect the patient who requires the blood work. Good luck Thank you i donated blood years ago and was just curious, i have no intention of using the donor service for a hiv test Report It You are welcome. good luck Report It They did on Hollyoaks. I don't know about in the UK, but they do in the US. i think they give you all result's if it is not clean blood I heard that they wasn't allowed to because you need to be counselled before finding out, they just dont use the blood, i am not definite though, sorry. I beleive they do. However, it is most certainly NOT an ethical way to test your HIV status on the quiet. They should notify you by mail or phone call. The health dept. could come to your house. Call them. yes. you are always notified of your blood results if they are positive or negative. may god bless you are the person that donated blood. I just hope that who ever donated blood knew if they were positive or negative before they went and did it. Yes, they do. I would emajine due to the fact that they don;t want you to donate again |
