all signs of AIDS means you are very sick

if repeated HIV screens are negative over a long period of time, you need to continue looking for a diagnosis

in the meantime, don't have any sex of any kind

HIV can take 6 months to a year to show positive in a test. Go back in 6 months for another test. If you're concerned that you've been exposed and have symptoms (although I'm not sure what symptoms you'd be showing at this point, as you usually don't have symptoms until much later into the disease), abstain from sex completely until you know for sure.

With HIV testing the window period is 3 months. HIV will show up 90% of the time after 30 days,94-96% after 60 days and 99.4% after 90 days. If you got tested use condoms everytime you have sex for 3 months and retest they you will know what your status is.

What are the signs of being HIV infected? For what I have learned and for what I teach people can be HIV+ and not even know it because there are no signs, it may not show up for 10 to 12 years.

So if you test you will know for sure, but you will not have HIV for a long time and not know it.
