My lymph nodes swollen...is it hiv?

swollen lymph nodes....i was soo afraid of it!!! it does not hurt at all...ive gone to check for hiv and it comes out negative. but i check after a month ive done sex. ive asked the doc if i had to do more test to check whether i have hiv or not...he said i dont have to. help me out ppl...i need your help very2 much...

is it possible that swollen lymph nodes cause by weather like hot?

The only way to find out if you have HIV is to get an HIV test. It can not be diagnosed based on symptoms. The standard recommendation is to get tested 3 months after possible exposure, because it could take that long for someone who has HIV to test positive. In very rare cases, it could take up to 6 months for someone to test positive.
It sounds like stress or another illness may be causing some of your symptoms. See a doctor. For peace of mind, get tested for HIV 3 months after your possible exposure, then retest 3 months later.

Also, your doctor should have taken your concern about HIV seriously, even though your risk of infection may be low. Consider going to a different doctor.

If you have a cat or have been around a cat and the cat cat has licked or scratched you or something, you could have cat scratch disease. I know it sounds funny but it is a real condition. Sometimes if you have a cat bite, or scratch or if the cat licks you, the lymph nodes swell or there will swelling in the area the cat bit, licked or scratched you. It usually goes away on its own but sometimes people may need antibiotics. You probably don't have a cat but this could be a reason for your problem if you do.

For a definitive diagnosis of swollen lymph node, i'd think u would need to get a specimen for pathology examination.
For ur HIV worry, it takes 3 months after the unprotected sexual act, for the test to turn out. To be safe, i'd try to avoid having any unprotected (or even protected) sex for the next 2 months, then i'd test again. and then after that u'd have to test again after 3 months.

Lymph nodes trap bacteria. If they are swollen, that means that you have some sort of virus. Your body is trying to fight it, and it kills some of the viral cells, destroys them, and your lymph nodes filter it out of your bloodstream.

Swollen lymphnodes could be caused by a million different things. It is probably mono or something.

The "additional details" are a little more worrying, but could just be a flu.

The only way to know for sure is wait a few months and get another HIV test.

What exactly did you do that puts you at risk?

it probably is the weather, perhaps allergies?

it probably isn't hiv but something to do with eating right and getting exercise. eat all the right foods. if anybody you know has a cold or flu check with a physician
