If I have unprotected sex with a guy who could possibly be hiv+, would I definately contract the disease?

I was being stupid tonight and I had sex with this dude who I claimed to be negative when i asked him.
He penitrated me without a condom but he didint ejaculate in me. he said he was getting close but i didint let him go inside me.
If he DOES have HIV, is there a great possiblity that i could get HIV?
I'll go get tested in a little while but im driving myself crazy thinking about it.

THe main question is, can i still catch it even if he dosent ejaculate in me?
He claimed to be negative, but im not so sure.
