Had a False Positive HIV Test Result at Plasma Center?

Then I tested Negative with the Elisa and Western Blot at Free Health Clinic. The last test was done 7 mo after the "BIGGEST mistake I've ever made" incident. I'm still scared and need to know if I should go retest. It's now been 21 mo since the incident. I want to move past this.

I'd retest if I were you. Sounds fishy to me. Try taking the test again now and then in another 6 months. For now act as if you got it. Don't have unprotected sex with anyone to prevent spreading it. We had a girl who was a regular in a chat room I used to occupy who had a false positive before. She turned out to be ok and it was just the clinics mix up. I'd ask to see all of your blood results too and also take those to a physician for a second opinion. Best of luck to you and good that you did test either way.

HIV has a ridiculously long incubation period, and even if one test says you're not carrying, and one says you are, I'd go with the "you are" test and run with it.

There are several tests, and some are less accurate than others. The Plasma tests have to be the best, to keep people safe. Just retest. It's not a death sentence anymore, just an inconvenience. The drugs they have can keep you healthy for a long time. You can live a normal life if you turn out to have it.
