Question about acute HIV rash? |
i know that a common symptom that shows up usually about 4-6 weeks after infection is a macupocular rash. i have had red, blotchy spots on the soles of my feet, but they aren't really on the surface of my feet, but more like "inside" if that makes any sense. the rash went away after a day and then reappeared. so my question is do acute hiv rashes usually reappear and disappear so quickly? That rash seems more like you are coming into contact with something you are allergic to, rather than an HIV related symptom. The swimming pool just may have something to do with it - perhaps the concrete is cleaned with a chemical you are allergic to. Don't jump to conclusions and don't look for bad news. A rash can be indicative of dozens of things, not just HIV. unfortunately I was going to say go to the doctor and get tested. you already did that. So, I'd wait for the results. When the doc calls you to tell you the results, tell him about the rash, whether the test came back positive or negative. Regardless of the test, you'll want to get your feet checked out before it gets any worst. |
