Can someone PLEASE answer a question about HIV? |
I've done blood test for HIV in 2006, 2007, and 2008...all 3 times came back negative. Also tested negative for TB too. Does this mean I'm not HIV POSITIVE for sure, I'm only worried because I've heard even if you are infected with the virus it won't show up in your blood til few years later? How often does this happened? if the test result is negative its means that for sure you don't have HIV. As long as you have not had unprotected sex of ANY KIND with someone that may be infected since your last test, you are definitely HIV negative. That's not true. Antibodies show up in your blood by 6 months. Most people test positive before 3 months. There are NO false negatives outside the window period. You are completely fine and negative. You have nothing to worry about, if you were HIV + it normally shows up within 6 months |
