Do I need an hiv test...aside from the others? |
I have been through a really bad stage in my life....really depressed, partying way to much and i had 7 incidents of unprotected sex, none of them finished inside me or anything, it was just for a lilttle bit...if u know what i mean. I havent slept with anybody becuase im recovering from that dark stage in my life, losing weight, getting healthy etc. I am going to have a full std screen, but I am terrified of having hiv...do u think i need to have an hiv test, or just the other std's? Sorry if this question doesnt make alot of sense, im just reallt scared. Thank you, You should DEFINITELY get an HIV test as well as other STI tests just to be sure. You can sleep with one person and still get infected, sleeping with multiple partners unprotected just increased your risks. Yes, you should get tested for HIV. HIV is an STD and is transmitted by unprotected sex, just like other STDs. Get tested. The sooner you know your status, the sooner you can have peace of mind, or get treatment if you need it. Please get tested. You should get a complete screening including HIV everytime you have unprotected sex. It is always good to catch things early in the disease state rather than later. I would check for everything if I was you. On my doctors advice I had the test, I seem to have been where you seem to be, so I would advise you to go ahead and have one and then in several months youwill need another to make sure. HIV? Very douptful, as the chance of transmission is 1 in 500 to females. The chances the guy even had it is 1 in 1000. Think about it the odds are in your favor. Get a test done, know for sure. Just ask your doctor for a full blood test for everything, even for the hepatitis alphabet. Even if you have hiv it's not a death sentence. |
