Can a hiv test be a false positive? |
i was tested pos in 1994. i was tested again last week and there is no sign of the virus. I have been living as i was pos. so, am i now. It depends on what you mean by "no sign of the virus". Just because there isn't any sign of the virus doesn't mean you still don't have it. It could just be undetectable in your system right now. I'd talk to a doctor and get another test. It is possible to get a false positive on an HIV test, though. False positives are possible. Have another test done. Tell your MD about the the test in 1994. The testing is much better now, but talk to your MD. Better safe than sorry, and peace of mind is awesome. yup, you are screwed |
